Welcome!

Hi, and thanks for stopping by to visit my blog. This is a great place to keep up with what is going on at Renee Bynum Photography. Whether it be art, photography, give-a-ways, contests, or just happenings in my life, this is the place to find it.

I would like to give thanks to the Lord for the talent in which he has blessed me. I've always had a passion for photography and was blessed with the opportunity to turn that passion into a career 3 years ago. Without him I would be nothing! I pray that all I do and say brings glory to his name! He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!:)

I am an award winning photographer and member of the PPA (Professional Photographer's of America). I can do studio or on-location photography. I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby, children, senior, family, boudoir, events, and wedding portraits. I currently serve the Mississippi, New Orleans, Alabama, and Georgia areas. My sessions are so different than your chain store sessions in that the session is customized totally for you. We meet at fun locations, talk about what attire to wear, and give your photos an artsy feel that brings out your personality.

Kodak "Picture of the Day" | Mississippi Portrait Photographer

Okay, so I didn't even know that I had won the Kodak "Picture of the Day!"  A photographer friend of mine saw it and posted on my Facebook page.  I thought I would share it with all of my blog readers.  When selected, your picture entry will appear on the huge Kodak Times Square Screen Gallery in New York City. What a way to start the New Year!:)

Words of Wisdom: “No one can help everybody, but everyone can help someone.” ~Author Unknown

My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
{PSALMS 108:1}

If you want to change the world, you can only do it one person at a time. Start wherever you are, and help the people around you. Help your family, your neighbor, your friend. The opportunities are there; you only need to look for them. (Your Bridge To A Better Future by John C. Maxwell).

Lord Jesus, may we honor You this Christmas and reach out to help someone else in Jesus Name. Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Holiday Give-a-way Winner! | Mississippi Family Photographer

Christmas is my favorite time of year because Jesus is the reason for the season!  Please keep Him in your thoughts throughout this time of year.  I know your anticipation has been building and I'm so excited to finally announce the Christmas Give-a-way winner(s).  You read that right, winners.  First of all, I appreciate all the entries.  Each of them were very heartwarming, however; I had to narrow it down to only a few.  I definitely couldn't stick to just one.  Please read the winners below and have them contact me in January to schedule their FREE photo session.

The winners are:

The Chris & Amanda Guy Family - nominated by Chester McCoy

The Story:  I would  like to nominate the Chris and Amanda Guy family.  They have three kids.  One is seven and her name is Kassie Guy, three weeks ago they found out she had a brain tumor and it was cancerous.  She is starting chemo and radiation.  I don't think they have a family portrait and this would be great for them.  She just turned seven last Saturday when she was in hospital.  She will be in the hospital during Christmas.

The Valerie Harrison Family - nominated by Wendy Burkes Palmer

The Story:  Valerie has suffered a lot of loss in the past.  She is a single parent struggling to raise four children under the age of seven.  I think a professional photo shoot would not only be cherished, but a great Christmas present to Valerie and her family.

The Jeannie Anderson Family - annonymous

The Story:  Jeannie is a single parent struggling to raise a 3 year old.  With the taxed economy and it being Christmas time she has struggled to even obtain gifts for her child this year.  Thanks to good giving people she has managed to get her son's Christmas.  However, Jeannie has always wanted a professional photo shoot, but has never been able to afford it.

Congratulations to all the winners and may you have a beautiful and blessed Christmas and New Year!:)
